Wycle Creek Cabin is located within relatively short driving distances from most attractions and activities, such as the aforementioned The Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the Blue Ridge Parkway; a scenic driving route appropriately known as “America’s Favorite Drive”. Nearby Cherokee NC offers family attractions and activities such as the Oconaluftee Indian Village and the Cherokee Museum. For the adults, there’s Harrah’s Cherokee Casino. Families can enjoy whitewater rafting, kayaking, tubing and zip-lining, all found at the Nantahala Outdoor Center located in Bryson City, NC.  For those wanting to take a leisurely train ride through the beautiful country side of Western North Carolina, the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, also located in Bryson City is your ticket. 

Maggie Valley itself hosts a variety of popular locations and activities such as skiing and snowboarding at the Cataloochee Ski Area, tubing at Tube World. For golfers, golfing at the Maggie Valley Country Club or at the Lake Junaluska Golf Course are both located nearby.  Maggie Valley is surrounded by its beautiful mountains, lakes, waterfalls, with miles and miles of hiking trails and gorgeous scenery. Waynesville, just a few miles east of Maggie Valley has a historic downtown area with fine shops, galleries, antiques shops, cafes and restaurants, has tree-lined brick sidewalks, and offers many popular events throughout the year. Further west, the City of Asheville is home to the Biltmore Estate, America’s Largest Home. It has 250 rooms on 8,000 acres of grounds of forested trails, rivers, and spectacular gardens.
